As a Vet Nurse you see your fair share of pets swallowing the most ridiculous things from glass to ladies tights and my dog Benson is no exception!
A few years ago after coming back from holiday we were contacted by the kennels who were taking care of benson who were worried something was wrong .As soon as we collected him we knew exactly what they meant. Bensonis naturally a lively and energetic dog and to see him so quiet and placid was like seeing a completely different dog. We immediately headed for the vets who had a look and suggested an x-ray to check for any blockages as everything else seemed normal. Sure enough the x-rays showed a 'shadow' which in turn turned out to be two large pebbles in his stomach! Within the hour the pebbles were removed and we had our beson back the next day.The vet team and insurance company were excellent help and thanks to them benson is still going strong. This march he celebrated his 7th birthday and needless to say he has never picked up a pebble since
