Chicken Run
Where I live I have lots of ground to run about in and Dad has lots of chickens. When mum first brought me home, I was just a tiny quiet little puppy. I would go outside to go to the toilet and I noticed the chickens at first, but didn't really pay much attention. I started to get to run around off the lead after a week or two ('cause I always came back to mum for a treat) but one day I noticed that as well as big chickens, there were 4 baby chickens. The baby chickens were a lot fluffier than the big ones and far too tempting, they couldn't run as fast as me (as I soon found out). I waited until I was outside on my own and decided to play with the chicks, I was running around chasing this baby chick and eventually I caught it! I was running around looking for somewhere to hide it (and maybe even eat it) when mum came and caught me. She took the chick from me and gave me a row. The baby chick didn't look too great so I got put to my bed and mum came back out to where she left the chick- it was gone! The chick had made a remarkable recovery, but now dad has built a pen for them, so I can't play with them anymore.
